New maps and modes I guess are exciting enough, but I still wouldn't look forward to that anywhere near as much as a new game. I think the only extra content that ever got me truly hyped in any game ever was the Mario Kart 8 DLC (and 200cc)... which weirdly enough only barely got me back into the game for a short while before I went back to Smash and later on, Splatoon. |
Except they're very relevant, like I said they change up the gameplay. New weapons n gear bring new playstyles and strategies, new maps and modes encourage new playstyles and strategies. Hell I've already been planning sets for the upcoming weapons and imagining just how fun they're gonna be.
