Your response is not what I said.  I never said that things are better being lied about.  What I am saying, is that's for the individual situations and liers to sort out, not some idiot in a basement on a computer who knows nothing about the situation.  Ask yourself this question:

Who  did a worse act:

-A man who cheated on his wife.

-A man who revealed information, the result of which caused 27 suicides, combined centuries of sadness and depression to harmed individuals, 100s of children who had difficult lives due to broken homes and depressed parents, perhaps resulting in their own drug addictions or crimes, and thousands more broken formerly healthy relationships for no reason because of individuals who had used Ashley Madison as a joke or possibly had their email stolen.

I'm not saying no-knowledge, no-harm.  What I'm saying is it's not the place of an interenet hacker to decide, and there is no question the hacker's actions will directly result in far more real-world harm.

Again, people who commit crimes get put in jail which causes strain on their families or it causes people who done moderately joke crimes like not paying parking tickets end up being raped or becoming hard drug addicted criminals in jail, end of the day... you aren't going to blame a cop for arresting someone in the first place, cause and effect, those who had signed up and made accounts on a website designed for cheating with their real information (would love to know what kind of derp would use their real info to stalk people they know on a site like this)

I'm going to keep going back to this, but if a guy hid the fact that he used this site (or visa versa) who was married, they took vows that their wealth is shared, which means when the guy is using "his money" to pay to cheat on his wife, he is using 50% of her cash to do it... I find that pretty fucked up if I'm honest.

Like even if you happen to live in a country where the act of cheating is not legally doing something wrong, then using your spouses money without her knowledge to pay for this service is theft. (of course in other countries different vows are taken too, I can appreciate that)

 

tl:dr - who is wrong? the person who cheated, end of story.
