ultron was pretty meh

all the scenes and quips ( which they were too many off ) all felt better in the trailers

vision was cool but everyone else was meh 

quicksilvers death felt kinda cheap

also incredibly incredibly silly plot holes that made no sense , loool ultron really made a bomb he had to push instead of wirelessly

why not create chaos in the world , crash stocks empty bank accounts , leave the avengers distracted

sha sha it was serviceable , BUT MEDIOCRE

just because he was in the internet doesn't mean he had control of it all.  He could just travel his essense through it.  Jarvis stopped him from getting nuke codes and the viewer can assume he was stopping anything else Ultron was going for.  Not to mention Ultron before Vision was stolen wanted to subjugate humanity and make them change not destroy them.  He also had an ego like a robot with emotions should and wanted to beat them head to head.  He was also very immature.  He was given all the factual information but his emotions were completely out of whack.  These deeper parts of the character go completely over most people who hate the film's heads when watching but they are there nonetheless.  See his dialogue ("stay away from me" and "nononono they'll understand once they see they'll understand")  he's very conflicted until the end and even wants to make Wanda approve in sort of an Oedipus complex sort of way.

How is everyone meh now?  The characters with solo movies are still just as awesome as ever and my character and Steve have evolved in interesting ways that is clearly leading into Civil War.  Vision was a great new addition.  Hawkeye and Black Widow were given deeper characters and Hawkeye had some of the best one liners in the film (nobody would know...nobody lol)

The payoff will come in sequels to the stuff I think you're talking about (Thor well?).  There was plenty here to stand alone (some people complain about too much in the film then complain about not enough resolution so go figure lol) so it's not like they sacrificed anything in the film.  It's meant to be a part of a bigger universe and as we're seeing with MoS leading into BvS this kinda stuff is going to be done over multiple films now.
