It's virtually impossible considering the culture and politics of the US. There's no point on fixating on that. It's just a part of american culture that will never change. I prefer solutions that go after the root cause of a problem versus trying to lessen the effects of the problem. 

You misunderstand my post, I merely said what SHOULD happen, not what WILL happen.

As long as a large percentage of the Americans remain uneducated about their own laws, history and criminology little will change.

Not so long ago people thought it was impossible for black people to become president or gay people to be able to marry in all states btw...


I understood you perfectly. I just believe that the horse "let's make guns illegal in the US" shouldn't be beaten anymore especially since it doesn't add anything of value to discussion. Simply because it won't happen. 

As I said before, other solutions would reduce violence and ciminal activity in more effective ways. It's just too logical.
