Having an internal HDD shipped with the system is far more consumer friendly as well as a general expectation. If the systems comes with no memory, I garuntee lots of people will complain, attaching an external usb HDD is also not a ideal solution for most consumers either, I think only a small minority of core gamers actually do that. If its a very Nintendo centric box with no real intention of receiving third party support, 64GB of built-in Internal memory may be decent however they won't be doing much of a favour with their collaborators like Square Enix seeing as Dragon Quest XI will likely be 40GB minimum.
