I would love it!
This will eliminate the need for hdds, faster loading times, smaller consoles (and less pieces usually mean cheaper prices), less heat, possibilities to become a handheld if needed...and what most important no need for optical drive, thats thing is only thing that broke on some GC and Wii consoles.
Basicly, Nintendo console whitout optical drive and HDD could be work whitout any without a hitch very very long, like SNES or N64. :)
