1. SMT x FE is not trashy. 2. Almost everyone who owns a Wii U also own a 3DS. 3. It's still Nintendo. Fans of their games on the 3DS who didn't yet own a Wii U would surely end up buying one for the game over the PS4 depending on the games they want. They do have a Persona game on the 3DS, Persona Q, which is a SPINOFF and still sold more than SMT IV. Also, your statement saying "so there's no reason to think this would do well on Wii U." Well guess what... there's no reason to think it would not do well on the Wii U. |
1. Ok, whatever you say, I've been very open on my opinion about this, I think it looks horrible. (meaning from the direction in terms of story and presentation, the core game will probably be fine).
2. Uhh, great now lets switch that one around, what about the other 40 million 3DS owners? The 3DS userbase likely has as much, if not more PS overlap as it has Wii U overlap.
3. Again that's bollocks, Nintendo handhelds have always had significantly larger installbases than Nintendo consoles and I very much doubt that you have any proof that owning a Nintendo handheld makes a person more likely to buy a Nintendo console.
The Persona Q point goes back to what I said about the handheld vs. console fanbase argument, considering the type of game that Persona Q is (pure Persona 3&4 fanservice) it seems very likely that the people that bought this game have owned the other games on PS2 or (PSP/Vita).
And actually I gave you reasons to think it wouldn't do well on Wii U.
Fanbase had no expsoure to the series at all and the game has a version releasing on PS (where the Persona fanbase is) that even if it came to Wii U would still be technically superior to the Wii U version, so that wouldn't be speaking for the Wii U version either.
