Mad Max: Fury Road was not edited particularly well. She relied on using black out transitions far too heavily and would always cut from action to downtime abruptly, sometimes to good effect, but I found it to break the flow more often than not.

Fair enough. The true stars of the movie are Miller, Seale, and Gibson. But I think Sixel did good work - not just in editing but in compositing. Reducing 470 hours of footage into a 120 minute movie that makes perfect visual sense is no easy task - especially with a director as thorough and particular as Miller.
