I was honestly bored by Inside Out. I love Pixar films, but the best part of that film for me was the volcano short that preceded it. I absolutely fell in love with Fury Road, on the other hand.
I watched all three original Mad Max movies for the first time the week prior. I loved the first one, felt bored with The Road Warrior, and then loved Thunderdome until the children were introduced. Fury Road felt like they found the perfect formula for the series and then jacked it up with steroid injections, making it an absolutely mesmerizing theatrical experience. The thrill of the chase lasted the entire film, the characters were absolutely perfect for the chaotic world they lived in, and the cinematography was just amazing.
I had the pleasure of seeing it in DBox, and it was by far the best DBox implementation I have ever experienced - the fine detail they put into the motion seats was astounding, from the big movements when the cars were racing on screen to the gentle hum of the motor during the dialogue heavy moments. Whomever programmed that movie for DBox made it their mission to deliver the best possible experience they could, and they definitely delivered.
Absolutely perfect movie, in my opinion.
