I'm hopeful that the Academy will pay tribute to Fury Road, which is, in my opinion, the best movie of 2015 so far. At the very least we should see nominations for Sound Mixing, Makeup, Art Direction, Sound Editing, Costume Design, and Visual Effects. I'd also like to see nominations for Cinematography, Film Editing, Director, and Picture.
But who knows. I have zero faith in the Academy voters or the voting process. I stopped watching the ceremony years ago when I realized what a sham it is.
