The only thing that was good about Avatar was the amazing visuals and 3D effects (for those who like 3D). So come the 20th anniversary it will be seen for the lame bit of movie mediocrity it really is, which means it has no chance of hitting $3Bn.
Also unless Avatar 2 does something equally as visually spectacular, for the time, or it has Chris Pratt in it (!?!) I don't see it breaking $2Bn. It will make >$1Bn just because. I expect to not be interested in seeing it since I really didn;t like the first one much, 5.5/10 from me.
