...but I have some concerns before buying it, so I want to ask you guys first. I currently live in Tokyo, so the price for the console and games are much cheaper, 18.780 yen (136 euro circa) for the New3DS XL and 2400 yen (20 euro) for used games. Problem is that the 3DS is region locked (damn you Nintendo!), so I could only play japanese games. I understand the language enough to enjoy games (I think), but I'd like to buy games in English too. There are ways to avoid region locking, but I don't want to overcomplicate my life. What do you suggest me to do? And if I finish buying it, what games do you suggest me to play? I already saw a tempting Luigi's Mansion 2...

There are ways to avoid region-locking in the homebrew scene but they can potentially cost you $60-100 (7.500- 12.4399 YEN) (although there is a free custom firmware as well, but I am unsure about the specifics with that.) You are probably better off just importing an EU 3DS.
