What if xbox one has tricks up their sleeves? They are holding on to the third best selling game in the world right now that they can use any time. You have to remember that xbox one can go dirt cheap in the next few years (less than $200) because consoles were more relativley stronger at that time compare to now. However, the BIGGEST thing is the fact that unlike lastgen, Microsoft had competition their first year. So all that consider, xbox one is doing better. 

Which game is it that Microsoft has that is the third best selling game in the world?

GTA? CoD? Fifa? Pokemon? Super Smash Bros.? Mario Kart?

Halo is, at the very least, behind those. Don't discount the 3DS
