I don't buy the "more competition is better" ... it's not when MS/Nintendo have only been competitive with Sony for like 5 of 15 years.

Having two weak competitors versus one strong competitor is not better for the consumer. Sony could probably go through the entire generation now and win still without even dropping their price once.

I rather have a Sony and Nintendo alliance, Xbox is not going to get Tales of, Atelier and a bunch of weird japanese games

Sure they would, Nintendo's name and brand would bring all the Japanese developer support, MS' would bring all the Western support. They're basically two companies that are good at precisely what the other is bad at.
