Many companies have it in the contracts that you're not allowed to speak publically in regards to the company or their activities unless sanctioned, financial companies are an example of this as are military and security organisations and tech companies. You're notified when you take the job do not speak to the public unless permitted, it's not really down to what you say you simply just can't do it under contract as it can put the company and employees at risk.
