Famitsu's sellthrough suggests that Koei Tecmo and/or retailers were expecting a lot more, hence "bomba".

And they probably still expect it to sell. Cannot just simply look at sellthrough and label as bomba. The last Nobunagas ambition on 3DS sold about 9000 FVV. This is a remake of a remake released alongside a remake. Both are similar games and end up selling 8000 together.
