Pokemon doesn't receive new sequels once a year. At leas the main entries are spread out over 2-3 years.

Pokémon X/Y in 2013, Pokémon ORAS in 2014, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon in 2015 and new mainline Pokémon in 2016 (they're not going to skip the 20th anniversary).

You were saying?

There will be a 2 year time gap between Yo-kai Watch 2 and 3.

The Yo-kai Watch sequels add more new things than Pokémon has ever done.

X/Y -> Mainline Pokemon is 3 years. That's different than Yokai Watch. The only reason YW3 is pushed so far back is because they opted to released 2.5 + 3 spin offs before YW3.

You get one or more Pokémon games every year. It's not any different than Yo-kai Watch. Pokémon ORAS is also a mainline Pokémon game.
