The reason we read video game articles is to inform ourselves about this hobby of ours, what's not the point of all of this is to have some journalist shamelessly trying to sell us something, even worse when he's trying to do that on (in this case) games and features that are not yet out and he thus hasn't even tested himself. And sentences like "It’s time to buy into the Microsoft dream" are just cringeworthy and so out of place that it almost makes me feel like this article is a parody. |
Haha to call them journalist is a stretch, most of video gamers writer our still in high schoool, university and college with most of them that will never have any journalism training.
It's only Cringeworthy if you don't want to buy in the Microsoft dream and prefer the Sony or Nintendo offering. Let's face it most of us can't or wont own more then one console and must choose. Therefore you either buying in Sony or Microsoft deam (or PC & Nintendo). What do you think Phil Spencer and his team is trying to do, they are trying to sell you the XBox One "Dream", the dream right now is their strong 2015 holiday lineup and now a solid list of games for 2016. That's exactly what Microsoft is trying to do the moment any one buy's a Xbox one they buy into the Microsoft dream and hope that Microsoft delivers in the future.
