My biggest issue with the reboot was that it was like Bollywood film. It made me cringe once to many times with Lara having to almost die every other step she took followed by her talking to herself. The story and dialogue left a lot to be desired.
I was hoping they would change the over theatrical moments to just a few but seems like nothing has changed. It certainly has made Lara one of the less likeable characters in gaming for me, where as one she used to be one of the most liked.
I remember the first gameplay we saw and I joked to say let's see how many times she will have to escape death and I counted almost a dozen instances in the short demo.
