Hmm. Honestly, I don't think gaming forums really radicalize many people because gaming is more about preferences and liking something or not versus believing in an idea. With that being said, I think that people had an extreme opinion or not on gaming before they entered a gaming site.
Forums about politics or religion is different because it's based entirely on believing in an idea which a person can grow more into believing in something or turn away from it.
Conversing with others here, I found some games and books that are interesting. I like to try new things (that's a part of my personality) so my tastes in games and genres is constantly growing. My gaming preferences hasn't changed much. I'm willing to play more indies now versus before.
