It takes one step forward with artwork, but takes 2 steps back by not matching the standards set in other fps games. Smash, bayonetta, and blood borne are all great contenders in their respective genre, matching and surpassing previous standards set before them. |
Voice chat is near useless in Splatoon because the game is driven by more individual action all it'd be used for would be people throwing abuse at their team mates, lobbies were added in the new patch. The game hasn't got much problems to begin with tbh, the are no standards for Splatoon to match because it's created it's own sub section in the shooting genre much like Mario Kart to racers, the's no other shooter currently like it but the will be in future that's more then enough to warrant being a GOTG contender as its approach has opened up the shooting genre to people who normally don't like shooters.
