If you extrapulate the 1.6 as many sold to the Gundam Musou game on the PS3 you get a little under 450k. |
You know, this line of thinking died a long time ago dude. You cannot use last gen game sales as a benchmark for the PS3, sorry, that ship sailed when ridge race (which was a million seller last gen) flopped like hell on PS3, only to be followed by VF5 (which sold a million in its iteration last gen) which was a collosal flop on PS3. Success in the previous gen does not always amount to that same type of success this gen. I expect Minna to do very well for a PS3 game, but I dont have any expectations of it matching its last gen ratio. Judging by every other sequel for the PS3 since release, I have every reason to believe it wont get anywhere near it, but Im going to hold out a little faith anyway.
My point is, dont bother telling us how awesome MnG's attach rate would be if it sold half a million, because noone cares. Noone cares because it doesnt matter. And it doesnt matter because if anyone wanted to drool over attach rates we would look at te 360 in Japan which has an attach rate that crushes all. But not even a heavenly attach rate matters when the hardware sales are garbage. A highly popular last gen blockbuster selling incredibly less is not suddenly made a good thing just because it had a high attach.
