Wrt Ant-Man it all depends on what Marvel-Disney's expectations were for it. It has the lowest production budget out of all th MCU movies, which is a clear indication that they had modest expectations for it. And because of it's modest (for a MCU movie) budget it has already gone well past break even. I think Marvel-Disney are more than happy with how Ant-Man did. You can't expect every MCU movie to make $600M+ as long as every movie is profitable at the box office there is no reason to look to an early end for MCU movies.

F4 on the otherhand will be put on extended, indefinite leave until the collective memories of the moviegoing public forget this particular version ever existed.

@bolded: Exactly. I think it honestly did much better than expected. I was expecting much worse until reviews said it was actually a good movie. 

You can look at this thread and already see a few people using this movie as "evidence" to support the idea that superhero movies are going to decline soon.
