the hero losing was my least favorite part of Battle of the Gods.  Hopefully Goku gets more powerful than everyone soon.  At least more powerful than Beerus


Not very likely to happen. Either way, I liked taking a look at the power readings here.

Goku SSG was supposedly a 6, Beerus is a 10, Whis a 15, according to Toriyama. So that's why Whis mentions Beerus had to use almost 70% of his full power to beat him. However, Golden Frieza beats even a SSGSS, and yet asks Beerus not to intervene, as he could still beat him. So SSGSS is no more than 50% above SSG, maybe an 8, maybe an 9, and Golden Frieza at full power is just above that, and comes just short of Beerus.
