About the question, Obon holidays are week 33, from 13th of August to 16th.

It is not a shop holiday time in Japan and it is not for all the country... in Kanto for example happens in July 15 (already happened).

Obon in mid-August is one of the three major holidays in Japan (the other two being New Year's Eve and Golden Week). It's not a shop holiday time? Why don't you ask this to retailers.
