Splatoon is a very serious contender for my game of generation so far

Saying Splatoon is the GOTG also can be a offense when we have things like Bloodborne, there are not in the same level as well.
(And vivster was actually calling Rocket League to be big even before it launched and got popular, he is not pretending, is his opinion).

I have both system. I played both. If you dont, you cant even compare both games.
