To make it very easy and clear.
Splatoon wont win those award for sure, because several reasons:
1. Its on Wii U, a console MANY gamers dont even take seriours (kiddy console). A console that doesnt have all the big marketing third party titles. A console with weak hardware.
2. Its colourfull and rated m
The game is easy the best game i played in the past 5 years, but greatness alone doesnt make a game win awards.
If Nintendo would release the game on pc GOTG would be posible very very easy. But the game might sell 3-4million lifetime on Wii U. Thats not enough to be GOTG, scince 98% of all gamers will never play it.
