I doubt Sony are too worried about this, the PS3 is selling well. It makes more sense to buy a PS3 instead of a standalone player.

Off topic, but I really wish King Kong would be released on Blu-Ray! And the LotR trilogy.

Not to the mainstream customer it doesn't make sense.Do you really think a regular family goes out and buys a PS3 cuz of its Blu-Ray functionality? That was never the case with PS2 that had a DVD. Only single malevideogame players see it as a deal, not a family.

One of the reasons why Japanese people bought a PS2 and not a Dreamcast was because it was a cheap DVD player.

And was that the case in America???? What about Europe??? The Japanese market as its showing already is not the prime source of the videogame industry, neither is Japan the source of the Blu-Ray market as they are showing by the poor sales of the PS3. America and Europe have taken the title of biggest videogame market and I don't expect neither market to adopt PS3 as their Blu-Ray option of choice just like they didn't took PS2 as their DVD of choice.

What are you looking at, nerd?
