Guess what, the Wii U was the most powerful console at the time of its release.

It's debatable anyway because when the PS and PS2 released, the SEGA Saturn and Dreamcast respectively existed, which could definitely make a fist against the two Sony consoles power-wise and even beat them in some areas. The Sony consoles only won (to put it simply), because Sony was smart in their marketing and they made the right decisions in the areas where it counted.
