If you have the resources and time, make a game! But, obviously, making a book is easier. I say go for it, but like a hobby. Instead of replaying Super Metroid for the 29th time, or whenever you feel like you have nothing to do, work on your book. Not for very long sessions though, or else you'll feel burnt out. |
The thing is, I'm not sure if I have what it takes to write a book, As in, I don't think I could write in a way that'd keep a reader's attention. That, and the story is more fitting for a game, lol.
Still, If I wanted to make a game it'd not be any easier. To make things worse, I'm a perfectionist, so I'd probably work on the thing for years
But there's also the problem that I'm not sure if I could get the characters in my head to turn out the way I'd want. The only way I could do that would be if I could draw them, but I can't draw for shiz
That's why I expressed doubt before. I'm afraid it's likely that I'll never get a chance to turn this idea into a reality...
