Funny because some people said the X1 will be the last console Microsoft will make and some of them who said that are in this thread.

Spencer's comment does not confirm a next-generation successor. Hell even Sony might not have a true and conventional successor to the PS4. I think both companies are at least looking into a streaming box(sadly) because it would mitigate costs as they would not require expensive components like the PS4 and X1. I hope I'm wrong though because streaming for me would pretty much kill gaming in my eyes.

If we get streaming boxes then R.I.P console gaming, just look at PS Now prices and some people's internet.

OT: Console manufacturers are always looking at their next console, they probably started just a couple of months after release of their current console. Doesn't mean they'll actually build one and release it. My money is still on Microsoft coming with a new Xbox, but it wouldn't surprise me to see Microsoft sell of Xbox.

Definitely. I still(and always will) love having the physical game in my possession. I can understand indies being digital only because of the expense needed for physical release but AAA games have no excuse especially when I get physical copies much cheaper than the online digital counterparts.

I think Microsoft might merge the xbox brand into the PC section and put out a streaming product where your PC streams the game to your TV. We are already seeing movements like this with both Sony(PS now being on Samsung TVs, PSTV, PS Now in general) and MS(X1 exclusives going to PC, talk of potential streaming of PC games on X1 etc).
