"3rd parties got behind Wii U, it had some of the biggest IPs, but it was mostly an abysmal failure"

lol so funny. wii u had SOME half assed support and the games sold acordingly. Oh, here are some ps4/x1 games released late like wii u ports. Acording to you, must be below abysmal failures.

Oh, I forgot, if it's not AC or COD on wii u it doesn't count, right?

You are one obvious troll/hater/both and it's pretty pointless to try and deny it.

That's the thing. If major IPs can't be successful on Wii U even when they launch at the same time as other platforms, there was little hope of core 3rd party games ever doing well on Wii U.

What if all ports of late games bombed on Wii U but games that released at the same time on Wii U sold well. That would atleast give the impression Wii U's wants current releases and not late ports. But in reality, basically all core games on Wii U bombed whether on time or late. That's when 3rd parties decided to cut their losses on Wii U.

Remasters on 8th gen consoles generally haven't done well. But the Xbox and Playstation audience have actually shown interest in core games. We can't say the same about the Wii U audience. Which is fine, this tells me the Wii U audience is simply different than the average Playstation and Xbox user. And if the Wii U was more reasonably priced for a casual console, it would have been more successful.

In my opinion, a Nintndo home console should not be more than $200. Especially if they are going to keep pushing dated specs.
