The PS3 has shown some pretty impressive sales this year so far, it's true. The inclusion of European sales to the formula really helped the system out a lot, as it has actually been on a slow but steady decline overall in Japan and America for much of 2008 thus far. The later launch of the PS3 in Europe means that the system has not yet hit its stride there, and should continue to drift along at higher numbers for the rest of the year.
