You must be new here. Sony has a Get Out of Jail free card for things MS would get shit on for. See: Bloodborne, Titanfall, SFV, PS+, Sunset Overdrive, Tomb Raider, etc.

Bloodborne was the vision of FromSoftware and bought and paid for by Sony but dude its soooo totally different than something like Gears of War.

Its not that they get "get out of jail free card". Sony can actually develop their own games even when they commission games. Name a AAA hot IP outside of Fable or Foza that Microsoft has been give credit for that was seen as a hit. If you can find the right answer the argument that they are depended on third party for IP's would make more sense. Sony and Nintendo can both make their own IP's. Nintendo for some reason does not, but they have a wealth of potential.
