Seems to me like he was asking her a respectful question. She was then a complete bitch about it, at which point he had her get out of the car. The officer was far from the only one escalating the situation.

Whether or not she is legally required to put the cigarette out is besides the point. It is called basic respect, and I learned it when I was a little kid. She needs to grow the hell up.

Lets also make it clear that he very likely looked up her record when he returned to his car, so at this point in the discussion, he is already fully aware that she is a complete piece of garbage, and really wants nothing to do with her sassy attitude about the situation.

Where in her record do you think it showed her as a "complete piece of garbage"? Because she has a sassy attitude? Is that what made her a complete piece of garbage? Because she was irritated about being pulled over? Is that it? Where did you pull her being a complete piece of garbage from? I normally stay out of things like this but this statement was kind of out there.

I will say this I think the situation was handled poorly by the officer and by Bland at the stop at the point where he asked her to get out of the car. A bad mouth and attitude is what you deal with in tha tline wof work daily...can't let it all get to you. Heck I dealt with it when I worked at K-mart, I dealt with it when I was a customer service rep with AT&T and I deal with it still now as  Human Resource employee with AT&T. It just comes with dealing with people... But the one thing I don't agree with is I do not think she hung herself....that part I just don't beleive.
