that is making a huge assumption... NX being a home console.
I remain unconvinced of this. How long has the 3ds been out for? how long has the wii u been out for?
which console successor is more likely to come out first?
the DQXI making it's way to the 3ds successor makes sense, not for a new home console platform from Nintendo with the added cost of development to a 0 people install base
