Saying the Wii U has stayed afloat is really, really generous. It's more like it has managed to keep clawing up a few inches from certain doom. In fact, this generation may be the one that has hit Nintendo hardest for their lack of third party support. It's the weakest its ever been, and not so surprisingly, Nintendo home console sales are the weakest they've ever been. Of course, that is just one problem with the Wii U that has held it back, but it is certainly a prominent one.
