I wouldn't mind leaving for a job oppurtunity if the place I was going was nice,but that's not really the same as a reason I'd leave the US and never look back.
I guess my best answer for that would be if education and scientific researching funding decreased to a laughable point proving that the country no longer values research and development. That to me is a clear sign that your government can't think ahead to benefits beyond their own term of office which I find pretty deplorable. So yeah, I think that'd be something that would make me write off the US
