It did pretty much bring on the tablet and ipod and phone craze. This craze probably still would have happened with out Temple Run, Angry Birds and Candy Crush, but they sure did help too.

Yeah, but, are we like 'Yay, more app games please?  I'll definitely pay $50 per game.'  Or are we more like, 'yay, free game, sure I'll put down a dollar for free letters.' 

Super Mario Bros. has more due to it than those games.  And just because they're new we can go that way, but look at how WOW isn't mentioned anymore as compelling GOAT.
