I missed the Gamecube era but still spent quite a bit on computer parts and PC games. By that, I would say console gaming (for me) is a luxury. Although it has sometimes felt like a necessity over the past 6 years that I've been back into consoles. I kept all my retro systems, and brought them out of storage quite recently! I've got no idea whether I will 'buy into' any future console generations, but the PC/Mac gaming will probably continue, just on a lower tone from today.
