I agree with the placement in the OP, though at first I was like, "wtf is A New Hope?"

The Empire Strikes Back is such a fantastic adventure. That's the film that really pulled me into the universe as a whole. Star War (IV) was great but it felt relatively isolated. The Empire Strikes Back expanded everything and made it feel like a war was going on. It's a bar that I doubt the series will ever top.

Return of the Jedi is a relatively distant third only because it mixes some mediocre moments in with some truly great moments. It should have been better but it seemed like they wanted to make the tone more kid-friendly after Empire. Ewoks were uncalled for.

Edit:  Then Revenge of the Sith.  It felt serious in nature and did well presenting a tragic atmosphere.  It was a good film in that regard, though it did have quite a few flaws and a lot of "let's get on with it" parts.

After that, I don't care enough to place the other films.
