when the second DLC wave was released, it also brought a huge Miiverse update that added a separate community for every fighter currently in the game. posts made in those communities show up during matches on the Miiverse stage to cheer on their respective fighters. the reason Roy shows up is due to popularity and people have been posting a lot on the Roy Community. only the most popular communities show up on the Wara Wara Plaza
