It not just Nintendo have smaller games, other company also have them too. We have games for Wii U like Nintendo Land, Mario 3D World, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Pikmin, Yoshi Woolly World, Xenoblade X, Hurley Warriors, Super Smash Smash Bros, Splaoon, Zelda U...and you saying "I think most Nintendo games are indie quality or at least closer to Indie quality than AAA quality in terms of production values"!? I think most Nintendo games are indie quality. It's my opinion. If you think differently, then great for you.
