The completely shoved in Falcon scene was stupid. Anything to tie it into the MCU when, really, they didn't need to do that. However, you really think Thor 2 was better than Thor? A rarely opinion it seems. Or is it a case of all those films are just 'good' and none really jump out more than the others? |
My guess is they felt needed a fight scene during the build up and Falcon was a secondary character they could use to tie Ant-Man into Avengers without raising too many questions. I was fine with it, but agree if it had been cut I wouldn't be too bothered.
The brackets are three defined categories, within them is relative rankings of the films. Yes, I did prefer The Dark World over Thor. The first one felt fine, but sort of flat to me in many regards spending time in Midgard. The second gave me tons of fantasy elements and Asgard making it stand out as far more visually and narratively interesting to me. I liked the villain and Loki's arc (even if the ending left me with mixed feelings) and came around more to Thor as well. In many respects Thor 2 felt like the film been wanting, and Thor was the prolouge. I have high hope Thor: Ragnarok will be great and really fulfill the series potential.
