Batman does beat Superman for one very simple reason. Superman is a good guy. His own instincts mean he doesn't kill or gravely injure, he holds back because of his power.

Dr Manhattan is a reality manipulator, better than most as he seems undefeatable. It's not a matter of what Supes can withstand but if he can beat Manhattan and he just can't. Besides, if you remove someones head...

If Superman was really being serious, he'd destroy all of Gotham when Batman is Bruce Wayne. And no, Batman does not beat Spawn, Spawn beat God and Satan, some guy dressed in a Batsuit isn't beating him. Are you trying to say that Dr.Manhattan is better at reality warping that Myx? Because he isn't.

 

That Spawn comic was about Batman and Spawn joining forced to stop some crime I can't remember. There is this little dance they do before joining forces, they put Batman giving a fight to Spawn but Spawn not having it because he was in a hurry and he has his plasma powers limited. Then Batman fights Spawn after he had a grueling fight/used his powers and he is saving his powers and Batman gives him a beating. I read this comic years ago, I may remember wrong.

Sony_Girl, what Myx seemed to try to do with Superman there was changing his composition by transmuting his atoms to other composition. You change atoms by changing their number of electrons/protons through substraction or addition.

Doctor Manhattan controls all matter. He controls even sub-atomic particles like protons, neutron and electrons which goes deeper than transmutation and molecules which are atoms sticking together with other atoms.

But what Superman can never go around is the fact that Doctor Manhattan can see his past and future. Everything Superman will try Doctor Manhattan will know beforehand.
