This applies to all companies, no exception. Sony saying "we don't see value for our customers" has to be read like "we didn't see how this will bring us more money so we left it out but say it so to keep our face to loyal customers".

If it really hurts them, we have to see. I doubt it because Sony can do what they want as a market leader and many people will follow them, no matter what they do (to a certain extent). This won't change this gen, Sony will easily win WW because of Europe and Japan where Xbox doesn't even have the slightest chance.

I agree, PS brand is just more popular choice world wide however being the market leader doesnt normally mean you get what you want. SW-BF is a prime example of them leading the sales race, doesnt matter how many PS4s has sold, EA will release it on X1 first because of the $$$ of EA Access. Also like you mentioned before, if theres no money in it they will drop it or turn a blind eye to it. MS are quite a wealthy brand, even if they were last place they will spend more to achieve there goals like there doing with TR and SW and possibly alot more future titles.
