| Miyamotoo said: Completely disagree. OK we don't have Metroid or Pokemon, but we have games like Pikmin, Yoshi and Star Fox. And about Zelda, I will enjoying Zelda U on Wii U same regardless if it will be ported on NX or not, that will not effect on Wii U Zelda game at all (only if they don't release NX version first). I already wrote if they making motion controls for TP Wii version they will do that right, not some half done work. Wii U is much more powerful console than Wii, and we didn't get any Wii games with upgraded graphic. Yes, but they never were in such bad position, like I already wrote, this gen they had they first loose in history of Nintendo, so they will do whatever it takes to have very good launch for NX, and that includes Zelda U port. Majority Zelda fans wont mind if Zelda U gets NX port and thats scenario that all makes (almost) everybody happy, but not realising Zelda U game on Wii U would make very angry Nintendo and Zelda fans. How exactly can NX have superior controls!? Wii U gamepad is perfect for Zelda game, WW HD is a proof of that and I think Zelda U will exploit even more gamepad. |
But here's the thing... I don't care about Pikmin, Yoshi or Starfox... Neither does most people if they could rather have either Pokemon, Metroid or Fire Emblem... And thats great that you will enjoy it but remember, this conversation is about me... Not you... You are the one that decided to quote me so remember that. And I will be enjoying it a lot less if it gets ported to the NX cause they will certainly make it different and most likely, for the better on the NX cause thats how logic works and Nintendo has shown that they are willing to make it different.
So we agree that it is much more than a simple port then? Cause when you put that much work into it... It sure changes from being a simple port to an enhanced port... And yes, we didn't but that is irrelevant cause there was no TP sitution on the wii to wiiU
And this is exactly what I am talking about as to me not having confidence in the company if they do this... If in the future, Nintendo has another bad loss like the wiiU which they will cause they fucked up in the past, they will pull another zelda U because they will officially make sure that the development of their games including the base ones are greatly attacted to the success of failure of a platform which is the worst way to go for a customer. Cause then, if I buy any future Nintendo platforms at launch, I have no way of knowing which games it will be getting exclusively and whether or not I will regret purchasing it later if they decide to skip the major big IPs that most people want and only make the ones that people care less about. Giving us the best Zelda yet would at least show that they are willing to give us something ambitious regardless of the sales and they will continue their tradition of releasing the 4 key games exclusively which will make me a lot more confident in them going forward
Yes, majority of the fans might not mind if Zelda U gets ported to the NX but some of the fans will vs no fans will mind if Zelda remains wiiU exclusive and gets ported to the NX a year or so later. Specially if they have a big hitter like Mario Kart or something instead for the launch of the NX. While MK + Zelda looks better on paper, they will certainly lose me as a loyal customer due to the reasons I already said and Nintendo needs as many loyal customers as they can get cause when shit hits the fan, they sure are lacking in loyal fans with wallets... Also idk where you got the whole "not releasing" the game on wiiU part cause neither of us said that.
The controller itself might be better cause the gamepad/pro controller isn't the most comfortable/advanced thing in the world. They can have pressure sensitive triggers, they can have a better button layout and other various things they can do to make it more ergonomic. And who knows what the controller might even look like to begin with since we don't know what the NX even is yet... There is no reason it can't have better controls than the wiiU. And yes, things like pressure sensitive triggers can improve the gameplay experience greatly such as being able to accurately adjust the speed of the horse or how far the bow will go and etc. If they are willing to break tradition that they havn't broke since 1986 and have a console without an exclusive Zelda, saying that the NX version won't be better than the wiiU version in some way cause Nintendo has never done it before is pure nonsense
