One moment superman is hurling planets around, the next he's getting punched by Superman. In one comic Wolverine needs several days to heal from a deep wound, the next he's able to regenerate from complete incineration in seconds. Even a character as weak as hawkeye has incarnations that vary in strength and ability. So, it's kind of a weird question to ask. If we take the strongest possible version of Superman, Goku doesn't stand a chance. But, there are several interpretations of Superman that Goku could wreck without breaking a sweat. Kind of a crapshoot. |
Basically this. It's like writers have a particular vision for a character and that character is passed to different writers until one "super fan" writer changes the character so drastically that they are just a caricature of the person the original writer created.
