Ditto. Not sure what's so hard about just using the controller.

No battery drain for the DS4 while watching a movie / TV series. And you don't have to wait a few seconds until you can input commands like pausing the video... the game controller goes to sleep after a while and you have to wait until it reconnects with the console.
