I got my hopes up... and then had them dashed the moment I saw it was THQ.

Ring me when a developer that doesn't suck takes interest in the Wii.

You're assuming that the shovelware teams will be doing this. There are some quality teams at THQ. They may not be up to par with the quality teams of other developers, but the fact is that they are making an effort with the Wii, which is more than a lot of developers can say.

Like what? Their biggest title (that I've played) was Titan's Quest and that game was craptacular. It was a clone of D2 that failed to do anything other than be stunningly mediocre.

Company of Heroes. One of the best games in the last few years, imo. Supreme Commander was also quite good.

But those are PC games right? Anyway, on topic, I LOLed and disappointed when I read all of this interview. Theres a part  about the Wii and yet the only IPs they said was De Blob and Deadly creatures, and HD consoles have WHAT?

For me, its OK on what support THQ do to the Wii right now, after all, the only THQ do since the Playstation era was milking licensed games such as spongebob and nickelodeon games and WWE games. But after I read this interview its  like a slap on the face for us core gamers that buy the Wii because we know theres a potential for core gaming on this console and we're not fall for the casual crap. So THQ means that they need to support the casual crowd to enjoy gaming? Thats why they created De Blob and Battle of the Bands?

Didnt THQ know that 4 million people already buy Legend of Zelda and Super Smash Bros. Brawl and over a million on Metroid Prime 3? One of the most core games Nintendo ever made? If THQ wants to develop a game for the Wii, why not make a decent FPS or a mature game like what they did on HD consoles, like Saint's Row and Frontlines?

But THQ never want to do that because theyre too afraid that mature games didnt sell on the Wii. O RLY? Whats Red Steel then? Even theres a problem with the game people buy that game because thats what people wants. OK end of rant :P

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out
